I don’t think this place can ever deceive, right. Quite the opposite, it was fab! We went for a dinner with a friend and have chosen a set menu. It’s not cheap, yes, so prepare to pay the price, but the taste and presentation is superb! Not to forget to mention the service was great as well.
Best restaurant ever! Food was great, excellent quality, very tasty and presentation. Only thing I was expecting Japanese ambient music instead of techno but rather than that, TOP restaurant.
Incredible decor, amazing service and delicious food! Sticks n Sushi never disappoints! I’ll be back again so soon. Do yourself a favour and if you’re a fan of Japanese food, make a booking asap or walk in (they’re so accommodating) - thank me later x
Service was amazing. Super attentive and friendly. They even announce your arrival to the restaurant. Background music added to the atmosphere. Decor is amazing. Probably the best one out of the chain. Just like a flagship. The food is very delicious. Lots of options to choose from. Sushi lover heaven. However, don't forget to try the skewers as well. Highly recommend for a date, catch up etc This has become my go to place for reliability.
My boyfriend and I came here recently to celebrate my birthday. They gave us a small Japanese flag to symbolise an occasion which was a sweet and a subtle way of telling the staff that there’s an occasion. Immediately upon entry you notice how beautiful the restaurant is, the japandi styling is elegant and stunning. We had the ‘Perfect Day’ set menu and this was perfect for the two of us. The set covers a good range of sushi rolls and sticks and I can’t recommend the mushroom croquettes enough! Admittedly I struggle a little bit with certain fish but everything was so fresh and flavourful and I had no problems eating some of the rolls that I was slightly intimidated by. We finished with the dark chocolate and matcha fondant. This desert was incredible, definitely a huge stand out. My boyfriend even enjoyed the matcha element of it despite never trying matcha before. The staff gave us a chocolate ice cream stick with a candle in it to celebrate my birthday which was very sweet of them. I’d also like to give a shout out to the staff members who were extremely professional and helpful. When the food came out they explained what each element of the dish was so that we knew what we were eating. Thank you again for an amazing experience, we’ll definitely come back again when we’re in the area.
I always love to dine at this place, I am so happy that finally a branch has opened near me. We had a set menu with a bit of everything and I do not have a single complaint about it. The food is amazing and the service is extremely caring (my water glass was never empty, empty plates never stayed on the table for too long). It does not come cheap but I do agree that the service and the quality matches the price.
I had a wonderful birthday celebration at Sticks’n’Sushi Islington. We were given the best table in the restaurant with an amazing view, which made the experience even more special. I want to give a heartfelt thank you to Riziel and Khalid for looking after us so well. Their service was truly outstanding. The food was absolutely sublime. Every dish was beautifully prepared. Compliments to the chefs for an unforgettable meal. 7 April 2025 I can’t wait to return!
The food is fresh and delicious We love coming to Sticks n Sushi for date night because the atmosphere is warm, the sets are well portioned, and the pace of service is great! Everyone was 5 star. I just gave 4 because I like seeing Japanese ppl serve at Japanese restaurants but that's just nitpicking so don't let that sway you away from this wonderful dining experience!
